Here in the darkness I sit distressed.
The steps to my home are cracked and worn.
Unseen I crawl deeper into the chasm.
Deeper, deeper into the heart of seclusion.
The walls are shedding tears of anguish.
Like-minded souls and spirits surround me.
Dejected I take my place in the corner.
Memories, memories they whisper to me softly.
Then my heart becomes a basin of tears.
Cut off from the world I reach out.
But the beacon escapes my grasp.
Life’s ambience is but a distant vision.
Of a stellar embrace that will not come.
Of endless walking under the radiant sun.
Thoughts of dancing to the cosmic tempo.
My heart cannot feel pain no more.
As blinders about to cut off my vision.
With an impassive look I remind myself,
This is my home. This is where I live.
